About Us
White Marlin Designs, Inc., is a secure site offering nautical gifts and sportfishing products. We incorporated in 1997, and our Dun and Bradstreet number is 134117840. We offer over 500 high end ocean themed and nautical gifts in our shopping pages. Since many of our customers purchase multiple items, we have tried to group similar sportfishing and nautical gifts together, in an effort to give the customer easy access to a wide variety of choices and nautical motifs. As our business has grown tremendously 8 years, we plan on moving into a 3,800 square foot retail space sometime this year in St. Michaels.
Being the only daughter of a retired Coast Guard officer, and growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida, Blair developed a love for ocean things from an early age, traveling quite frequently on cruise ships to the Caribbean, fishing in the Bahamas, and enjoying many of the benefits of boat ownership, mainly SPORTFISHING!
At age 13, Andy became the youngest Federally and State licensed taxidermist in the State of Maryland. Some of his earlier fish art can still be seen at Horn's Point Environmental Learning Center in Cambridge. Andy spent many happy summers exploring the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries on the family houseboat, fishing and crabbing, and going to Ocean City every weekend. The whole concept of White Marlin was born from our mutual love of the ocean, nautical decor, and sportfishing for marlin. Catching and releasing a White Marlin at age 14 didn't hurt either! Shame it was a week before the White Marlin Open!
Our son, Christopher was a micropreemie weighing 1lb 4oz at birth in Johns Hopkins. Christopher was even featured on Fox in the Morning television while he was staying there. Our daughter Caleigh beat him by 7 ounces, 4 years later, also at JHU. Today they are healthy, active kids, who love the ocean, fishing, and everything outdoors. We even named our AKC golden retriever "Marlin." You will see them throughout our websites, in honor to them, and the challenges they had to overcome.

Shipping
Most in stock items generally ship within 3 business days. Items out of stock will be sent as soon available. If there is a delay in shipping of more than 3 weeks, we will attempt to notify you via email or telephone. Please note that some items are custom made and require longer to ship. Generally, shipping times are shown in our product descriptions. Our fish reproductions have a MINIMUM production time of 60 days. As all of our products ship insured, we can not ship to PO boxes. We require a signature at delivery. Shipping and handling charges are subject to change without notice.
International Orders and U.S. Possessions
As our product offering is diverse, please email us and we will research the shipping costs and reply back to you. We must have your telephone and/or fax number before we will ship your order. All shipments will be done using insured "least cost routing." Duty and any other import taxes are not prepaid.
Return Policies
If you are not satisfied with our products due to color, or size, most items may be returned to us in unused condition and in the original box within 14 days for exchange or refund. All returns must be charged a 10% restocking fee. All returns must have a return authorization number from White Marlin Designs, prior to shipping, or the return will not be accepted. Please ship standard ground UPS insured or insured parcel post.
All items must be returned undamaged to avoid additional charges.
Returns of our custom fish mounts are not generally accepted, as we email you a picture of the completed work prior to shipping for your advance approval. However, in the rare instance, (i.e.…Wife has different interior tastes than you and threatens you bodily harm if you hang a marlin in her living room) that you do wish to return one of our fish mounts, we will attempt to work with you to find a good home for it.
Risk of Loss
All items purchased from White Marlin Designs are shipped pursuant to a shipment contract. The risk of loss and title for these items pass to the purchaser upon our delivery to the shipping carrier. All of our products are shipped insured.
Although we strive for accuracy in our pricing and product descriptions, we are only human. We do not warrant that our offerings descriptions and prices are current or error free.
All images, and a vast amount of the material included on this site are copyrighted, and are the sole property of White Marlin Designs, Inc., and its vendors, and are protected by U.S. and international copyright law. We have spent hours taking pictures, and enhancing certain pictures of products. The tropical leaf pattern of our Vanmark Jewelry line is used with exclusive permission from our strategic trading partner, Vanmark, Inc. Jewelry Designers.
